Established in 1991, Frontier Tree Services provides Tree Surgery & Pruning, Tree removal, Consultancy & Vegetation Management Plans for both residential properties and commercial developments. As qualified members of the Queensland Arboriculture Association you can trust we’ll provide you with the right advice and quality service you need. We work closely with the local Gold Coast City Council and can offer advice and assistance with your council applications.
Simon Lonsdale, Director of Frontier Tree Services Gold Coast is a qualified arborist with a passion for arboriculture & the safety of your trees. You can trust that our crew of qualified climbers and skilled groundsmen know how to care for your trees and surrounding property. All our work is carried out to AS4373 Australian Standards and our staff are fully insured.
Simon is the company director, who has worked within the industry for over 20 years. Originally trained in the UK, Simon immigrated to Australia in 2005 as a climbing Arborist. Since then he has expanded his knowledge and experience in both a practical and strategic capacity. Prior to becoming a business owner, Simon held positions with the Gold Coast City Council as an Arboriculture Planning Officer, is a past president of the Queensland Arboriculture Association and a Tree Assessor for the Queensland Civil & Administrative Tribunal. With a wealth of knowledge behind him, Simon is now looking forward to the new challenges of running a business.
Kylie is our Office Administrator, working in the office part time Kylie enjoys keeping in contact with all our customers, scheduling their appointments. Kylie is the part of the team that keeps everything running behind the scenes, as a busy mum she knows how to keep us all organised. Always happy and cheerful she’s here to answer our client’s questions and help in any way she can.
Koren is our Business Administration Manager who takes care of the running of our office. Having worked in the service industry for over 12 years her experience and customer service is second to none. Currently studying a Certificate 4 in small business management she is enjoying further developing her knowledge. As well as being the friendly voice at the end of the phone, Koren is busy organising everyone’s schedules and keeping Michael in check.
Our head Climbing Arborist, Matthieu is originally from France. His international experience and expert pruning techniques make Matthieu a real asset to our team, and we feel very lucky to have him as our senior climber. He brings with him a wealth of knowledge, which he is continuing to share with his fellow team members. Matthieu’s keen eye for detail and approach to his work helps us to continue supplying our customers with the high level of service they have come to know and trust from Frontier Tree Services.
A highly valued and versatile member of our crew, Mark recently moved from the UK as a trained Arborist. He is keen to further develop his climbing techniques, and learn more about our Australian native trees. While more often than not, Mark will be climbing or helping our crew on the ground, you may also find him out and about providing quotations. His up to date knowledge as an Arborist allows him to help our customers make the best decisions for their trees.
As an experienced groundsman and truck driver all our Arborists know they’re in good hands when Zac is on the ground. His rigging and rope skills on the ground are second to none, ensuring the safety of the climbers and putting their mind at ease when lowering large limbs. Zac’s uncanny knack for reversing trucks and trailers amazes us all and is a testament of his ability as a truck driver.
Luke has worked in the tree industry for a number of years and is a highly skilled groundsman. Luke has proven to be a real asset to our crew, adding to our skilled team. Luke has a passion for climbing and professional tree care, which he hopes to further develop overtime.
Pete is our friendly groundsman who is only too happy to help with anything you may need. His great attention to detail and professional attitude towards the job makes him a great asset to our team. Pete makes sure your property is left clean and tidy, so you’d never know we were there.
