What is Arboriculture?

The selection, planting and care of individual trees and other woody plants, and the study of how they grow and respond to cultural practices and the environment.

What is an Arborist?

One who is trained in the field of Arboriculture (see above), and who, therefore has a sound knowledge of tree anatomy, biology and biomechanics, and is competent in a range of professional Arboricultural practices.

Why should I hire an Arborist?

Trees provide great benefits for our community, they are also often huge, heavy complex organisms that, to survive harmoniously within a human environment, require professional monitoring and care. Arborists are specifically trained to carry out this work. They are also highly trained in the safe removal of trees, even in areas of limited access.

Why should I have my trees pruned?

Trees can be pruned for a variety of reasons: Safety-removal of dead, diseased, decayed or weak branches; Property protection-pruning of branches away from buildings, power lines, street lighting etc; Access-to allow safe access of vehicles and/or pedestrians.

Why not just hire a tree lopper?

Do you provide a free quote service?

Yes we do. Frontier Tree Services offer a free, punctual and informative quotation service. We are also happy to look at other trees at your property while we are on site.

Are you insured?

Yes. Frontier Tree Services are fully insured, with Public Liability Insurance of $10,000,000.

Do I need council approval to have my tree/s removed?

You may. We advise that you visit your local council website, or telephone your local councils Arborist for more information.
