Arborists Reports and Management Plans

Hazard Tree Identification
If you do not want a comprehensive report of a tree, or a number of trees (such as is offered above), it may be beneficial to opt for our hazard tree assessment report. This basically entails our arborist assessing all of the trees on your property for obvious hazards, but only reporting on those trees that require work to alleviate risk. Again, this is a comprehensive reporting service and includes work recommendations, and prioritises trees via a hazard rating system.
Tree Radar Analysis
We use the Tree Radar Unit (TRU) to 1) Detect decay/hollows in trees, and 2) Ascertain root profusion and root spread. Both of these measurements are incredibly useful when making decisions on tree health and safety. For example, knowing the amount of Remaining Sound Wood (RSW) in a tree stem allows us to use a formula to calculate whether the tree is safe, or should be removed. The TRU is the only totally non-invasive decay detection equipment currently available; this means that it penetrates none of the trees natural decay barriers/walls. Root location is also invaluable when development encroaches on a prized veteran tree; if we are able to tell developers/architects/builders where roots are, development designs can incorporate the tree safely.
Planting/Replanting: Suitable Tree Selection
It is essential, when choosing trees for your garden, landscape project etc, that the most suitable species are chosen. Frontier Tree Services take into account a variety of factors when making this decision: Mature size (height and crown spread); structural integrity; longevity; water demand; root invasiveness; form; crown density (how much shade will the tree cast?) and the varying amenity attributes of flowers/foliage/fruit and bark. These factors can help prevent you from making an expensive mistake when deciding which is the right tree for your particular project.
